The Viking Death Squad Legacy: Attributes Poll

Viking Death Squad Legacy Challenge: Official Rules

  1. The founder must be the sim voted champion in the requisite game's poll, and must have the community voted preselected stats/traits. Sims 2 Founder Download//Sims 3 Founder Download.

  2. All spouses must be pixel_trade sims; maximum of two sims per creator. Any and all heirs MUST be a result of a pixel_trade union. Childen via pixel_trade member-made ideal plantsim replacements and multi-pollination techs are allowed. No maxis.

  3. For each sim week you play, you must randomly roll a challenge from the Mega Lists of Mini Challenges for either Sims 2 or Sims 3 - whichever game you're playing in ^_^.

  4. The Legacy lasts 5 generations, you may feel free to go for longer, but it must be a minimum of 5. You do not have to finish the legacy within the 10 weeks but that's the goal you should aspire to.

  5. The challenge is 10 weeks long. From the first post you make, you must make at least one post per week for a minimum of seven weeks within the ten. More is absolutely welcome, less (or you miss all three in a row) and you're out 'officially.'

  6. Make sure you advertise each post to the community - we totally want to keep track! :D

  7. All teasers cannot be larger than 600x600px and only one image outside a cut per teaser post.

Sims 2 Founder Stats:

with Freetime/Nightlife: Grilled Cheese (Secondary of Romance)
without Freetime/Nightlife: Romance

As you cannot set a sim to Grilled Cheese straight from CAS, there are several ways to do this once the sim is on a lot. The easiest, however, is to turn on "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" then shift+click on your sim and choose Spawn > Sim Modder. You'll get on the ground near your sim what looks like a really freaky standing baby. xD Click on the freaky baby, and choose Aspiration > Set Me(NameOfSim) > Grilled Cheese.

VOILA! You're done.

Sims 3 Founder Stats:

No Sense of Humor

Favourite Food:
Grilled Cheese

As an extra note: Please make sure when you're downloading that you use CleanInstaller, MacUnpac or Delphy's Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter to extract your sims etc to make sure that they're as clean as possible for your hoods - and so that when you're sharing sims that they don't contain any nasty 'suckerfish' style pieces of CC. ^_^

1. xD

2. SORRY! But its pretty easy to keep track of PTs out of Multi-Pts at least, as they show up as the parent in the child's family tree. :D

3. Nope that's totally fine, BUT you get abducted once and get impregnated by one of the PTs then that counts as ONE from that creator. If that sim (or another heir in the line) gets abducted and impregnated by that SAME PT out of the set, then that's still one.

But if they get abducted and impregnated by a different PT out of the set then that's that creator's two. So if you want sims to be eligible to be heirs from abductions, you'd then have to swap in a different Multi-PT set with sims made by another/other creator(s).

Aaaand. I hope that made sense and didn't confuse you ^_^

Makes total sense.

I'll just have to keep a close watch on what my PT set gets up to (especially if I roll that "get abducted a zillion times" weekly challenge!).

May. 18th, 2010 02:21 pm (UTC)
I am SO hoping to roll that thing! xD
May. 18th, 2010 02:30 pm (UTC)
Me too.

The only ones I'm not keen on are the terrain altering ones. I may do a re-roll if I hit those (shhh, don't tell!).

But its pretty easy to keep track of PTs out of Multi-Pts at least, as they show up as the parent in the child's family tree. :D

So if it doesn't show this, is it brokened?

My most recent abduction (and my first with a multi-pt hack - I'm using hidden_kitten's) doesn't show the parent on the family tree ... I thought maybe I was remembering wrong and it didn't usually show which polli tech pollinated. WEIRD! Maybe could I be missing a file or something? *wonders how to fix*

And thank goodness for this challenge finally getting my motivated enough to figure out (1) *which* ideal plantsim replacement I had installed so I could replace it with a pixel_trade idea plantsim!! WOOT!! And (2) that my much loved multi-pt hack is actually made by a pixel_trade member. who knew?! ^.^

Oooh that's not good. If you have a multi-pt then when you click on the child the portrait of their alien parent should show in the tree. It WONT show (I don't believe) if you have a straight default replacement, but the 'showing in family tree' effect is one reason why when you install a Multi-PT, you have to ALWAYS leave those sims in your downloads folder. You remove them, the trees get screwed.

So in your downloads folder for your Multi-PT you should have the four (or however many multi-pts there are in your set, since its pretty much potentially infinite xD) 'aliens' plus the actual multi-pt hack. If you change your multipt set, then you leave in the four aliens, add your next set, and switch out the hack.

wow, i totes thought I already replied to this, but I guess I didn't. and wow does this post have lots of comments. pixel trade can haz enthusiazm!! Are you feeling busy yet? ^.^

I still have all the four alien files (plus the multi-pt hack file) in my downloads folder, but maybe they don't like being in subfolders and if I rearrange it will sort itself out? It's worth a try. Thanks for your explanation there, twas helpful, I'm not very familiar with multi-pt hacks :)

YAY Plantsims!! and yay for their toddler --> adult aging to be speeding up my legacies!!
