The Viking Death Squad Legacy: Attributes Poll

Viking Death Squad Legacy Challenge: Official Rules

  1. The founder must be the sim voted champion in the requisite game's poll, and must have the community voted preselected stats/traits. Sims 2 Founder Download//Sims 3 Founder Download.

  2. All spouses must be pixel_trade sims; maximum of two sims per creator. Any and all heirs MUST be a result of a pixel_trade union. Childen via pixel_trade member-made ideal plantsim replacements and multi-pollination techs are allowed. No maxis.

  3. For each sim week you play, you must randomly roll a challenge from the Mega Lists of Mini Challenges for either Sims 2 or Sims 3 - whichever game you're playing in ^_^.

  4. The Legacy lasts 5 generations, you may feel free to go for longer, but it must be a minimum of 5. You do not have to finish the legacy within the 10 weeks but that's the goal you should aspire to.

  5. The challenge is 10 weeks long. From the first post you make, you must make at least one post per week for a minimum of seven weeks within the ten. More is absolutely welcome, less (or you miss all three in a row) and you're out 'officially.'

  6. Make sure you advertise each post to the community - we totally want to keep track! :D

  7. All teasers cannot be larger than 600x600px and only one image outside a cut per teaser post.

Sims 2 Founder Stats:

Aspiration:
with Freetime/Nightlife: Grilled Cheese (Secondary of Romance)
without Freetime/Nightlife: Romance
Starsign:
Virgo
9.2.6.3.6

As you cannot set a sim to Grilled Cheese straight from CAS, there are several ways to do this once the sim is on a lot. The easiest, however, is to turn on "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" then shift+click on your sim and choose Spawn > Sim Modder. You'll get on the ground near your sim what looks like a really freaky standing baby. xD Click on the freaky baby, and choose Aspiration > Set Me(NameOfSim) > Grilled Cheese.

VOILA! You're done.

Sims 3 Founder Stats:

Traits:
Neat
Loner
Perfectionist
No Sense of Humor
Flirty

Favourite Food:
Grilled Cheese

As an extra note: Please make sure when you're downloading that you use CleanInstaller, MacUnpac or Delphy's Sims 3 Pack Multi-Extracter to extract your sims etc to make sure that they're as clean as possible for your hoods - and so that when you're sharing sims that they don't contain any nasty 'suckerfish' style pieces of CC. ^_^

Question! So I used the boolprop to make the sim modder creepy baby and set Bekah to Grilled Cheese. Only now it won't show her icon over her status bars as grilled cheese. You know on the left the bar to show green/gold/platinum mood and the icon for choosing aspiration points has completely disappeared. I have her backpack and the job rewards button, but the other one is gone.

I don't use boolprop that often and I've never used sim modder, but I'm assuming this is not what's supposed to happen?

Okay, that is definitely not supposed to happen, and I've personally never encountered that error, and I've had a LOT of Grilled Cheese sims, even on my Mac where you can't have Freetime...

I guess at this point all I can advise is for you to search forums etc for a possible fix? Its entirely possible that this kind of error has been encountered by a MATYan for example.

I can look when work and other commitments I have are over but that wont be very quick for you ^_^;; If you DO find a solution, would you mind posting/commenting back here with it in case other people come across this bug?

I wasn't able to come up with a solution. After a little bit. Leave lot without saving, come back still glitchy with baby. Quit game, come back still glitchy. Putter around, unable to save game, crash. At that point I kind of got an eye twitch and decided that instead I'd go try out the Sims 3 version since I spent so long figuring out I needed to patch my game and all.

So I played Sims 3. If I can't use her and the neighborhood continues to glitch I'll just remake the neighborhood. It wouldn't be the first time boolprop blew one of my hoods up. Or the second.

If it doesn't work I'll do plan C. Play her fulfilling small wants and avoiding people until she has enough points to buy the orb thingie and stick her head in it until it's full of cheese and then age her back down with the sim blender (which oddly enough won't let me change her aspiration to grilled cheese though I can do any of the other ones) and then move her into the starter lot.

You could always just play her as Romance? Much easier solution :D

Try shift clicking on her, and you should be able to do it from the "Set Aspiration..." menu. (I don't know if Grilled Cheese is in that list, but it might be.)

From there, you can change her LTW (if you choose) with the lot debugger

The shift click ON the sim menu has some WHACK options in it, which I assume are all the prototype names for the Aspirations from EAxis. I haven't tried it, but the only one in that list that looks like it MIGHT BE relevant is "Grow Up" - but I think that might be pleasure? ^_^;;

"Grow Up" is the Toddler/Child aspiration, so I wouldn't mess with that.

Oh man I TOTALLY forgot that that existed as an aspiration! *headdesk* You're so right, choosing that would be a VERY bad thing.

Well okay, in that case, there's no Grilled Cheese as a Pie option in that menu ^_^

Then I stand corrected. (That menu probably wasn't updated for NL then, lol)

That sounds about right, as there's no Pleasure in there either.

Totally related but unrelated question: Do you happen to know the new link to the Personality adjuster in Rachel's townifying tutorial? Since it's an old tutorial, it links to the old InSim.

Oh weird! I'm not sure myself as I've never used that - I usually use testingcheats or the Sim Blender.. ^_^;;

Though that's a good point and we should perhaps write some new tutes for this.

It's okay. It just occurred to me I can do all that with SimPE

How about http://www.insimenator.org/ which is the copy of insim that Pescado made for just that reason?

So this is totally 2 years later but this actually happened to me once and i couldn't figure out how to fix the sim in game so i opened up her file in SimPE and fixed her there, now everything works good and well. Just thought I'd post an answer in case it happened to anyone else later. (:
